All of us here at Nile River Explorers feel a special bond with Uganda and particularly Jinja and the River Nile. We have all traveled extensively throughout many countries in the world but this is the place we decided to call our home and because of that we feel a commitment to help where ever we can.
Why do we do it? Simply because we can!

Rhino Raft Race - Saturday September 24th 2011Rhino Fund Uganda was established to promote the reintroduction of rhinos into protected areas within Uganda. In both 2009 and 2010 Nile River Explorers organized a raft race that raised over US$10,000 in just one day. We are committed to making it an annual event. |

Plant a TreeAt the beginning of 2011 and in celebration of 15 years rafting the Nile, Nile River Explorers will embark on an ambitious commitment to help restore the banks of the Nile with indigenous trees. Our goal is to plant a tree for every person who rafts with us this year. |

United Against Malaria Expedition 2010Jon Dahl, owner of Nile River Explorers originally came to Uganda in 1993 on the Afrika Odyssey expedition with the legendary Kingsley Holgate. Since then Kingsley has enlisted Jon and Nile River Explorers help in a number of his expeditions, the latest being the fight against malaria. |
