Getting to / from Kenya

Direct buses are available from Nairobi, Eldoret and Nakuru with numerous bus companies.

If you are coming from Kenya make sure you inform the bus driver that you want to get off the bus in Jinja before you put your bags in the hold. Many a traveler has suffered the frustration of finding that although they can get off the bus in Jinja, their bags have been sealed by customs and must continue to Kampala.

You will be dropped at the Gapco roundabout where a small army of boda boda’s drivers will be there to whisk you away to your final destination. The average fair to NRE Adventure Central should be no more than the equivalent of about US$1.50

Bus company offices are also here in Jinja for return or onward travel.
