Bujagali

Join us and explore the area around Bujagali Falls on this 1½ - 2 hour guided bike ride. Cycle along single tracks through villages and small farms and with excellent views of the river along the way. You’ll feel like the pied piper on this ride as the local children happily follow you along the trails.

Bugembe Viewpoint

Cycle up to Bugembe viewpoint to get a panoramic view of Lake Victoria and its surrounds, before heading down to explore Jinja town and the Source of the Nile. An optional boat ride from the lake to the Source can also be included.

Mabira Forest Reserve

Situated 20kms from Jinja, this beautiful forest is home to over 300 species of birds as well as numerous and some endangered species of butterfly, monkeys, plants and trees. Mabira Forest is ideal for mountain biking with its narrow tracks and shading canopy of trees. Cycling through villages, coffee, sugar and banana plantations you will get a real of taste of rural Uganda before heading into the main forest in search of monkeys and birds.
 
All trips are flexible to suit the needs and physical fitness of your group; your guide will run the trip just as you like.
 
Bikes are available for individual hire on a ½ day or full day basis both at NRE Adventure Central, Jinja and Explorers River Camp, Bujagali.
